There are chiropractors, good chiropractors, and then there’s Dr. Ken Erickson. The man is exceptional when it comes to chiropractic care, and that’s not just the back-related stuff. He can take care of pretty much any musculoskeletal problem that ails you. Brilliant to a tee, he’s rarely ever stumped by a problem, and will not rest until he is able to deduce and solve your issue.
Let me give you an idea of the degree of awesomeness of this man. We in the TurboKick (TKB) community fondly refer to him as the Turbo Doc, because just about everyone who has an injury will make a beeline right for him ASAP. TKB is one of the most physically demanding exercise programs, with all the twisting, turning, jumping, kicking, booty-shaking; all of which is buckets of fun, but threatens to throw your body out of whack. NOT TO FEAR: Dr. Ken will fix you right up!
Personally, I’ve gone to him for problems with my neck, lower back, shoulders, hip flexors, wrist, IT bands, and numerous foot problems; all of these have either been resolved, or are on the way to recovery. To attest to the fact that he is beyond amazing, he took a chiropractic disaster like myself, and made/kept me able enough to take on the Insanity workout too.

I saw good reviews here on Dr. Erickson. My guy saw him today for the first time. So far so good! He got Active Release today among other things. Just be alert and pay attention b/c Dr. Erickson talks supppperrrr fast! He’s very detailed in his explanation which we liked~
Before treatment in your office I had “difficulty walking bending stooping or sitting (including working at the computer) and difficulty sleeping because of the pain. I had injections and many other physical therapy treatments but nothing seemed to work. Sometimes my husband had to help me just to get up the steps. Everything from how I was treated from check in through to the massage therapists. Everyone was so encouraging and kind. And Dr. Erickson is one of the most intelligent and compassionate doctors that I ever known. He always had answers to my questions and solutions for removing my pain. I will forever be grateful to Dr Erickson for giving me my life back.
Just returned from Dr. Twombly’s care and I cannot express the relief I feel. After days of migraine and sore neck, I finally decided to search for a chiropractor. Dr. Twombly is a rare breed as he takes time to get to the root of a problem. He’s so personable, easy to talk to, very experienced, and made considerable effort to educate me about the entire chiropractic process. I sensed that he really cares about every person that visits his practice. Great staff too!!
After 35 years of dismissing chiropractic practices, I found myself at the mercy of Dr. Twombly at Irvine Family Health Center Chiropractic Offices in Irvine. If you can believe it, I was lying on a beach, went to get up, and couldn’t. My husband and kids had to watch me crawl off a beach and writhe in pain. Unable to stand up straight, I was brought to Twombly, who carefully realigned my spine. The pain was almost instantly gone and I walked out of his office, returning for just a few more adjustments. I was sold! He is a miracle worker. I did not have any other back problems until I spent an hour jumping on a trampoline with my kids. I went back to Twombly, admitted to my error in judgement, and he realigned my spine, neck, and feet. When I left his office, I was 70% better. By the next morning, I was 90%. Right now, I am 100%. On top of Dr. Timothy Twombly knowing what he is doing, he has a great bedside manner. He is professional and affirming. Dr. Erickson definitely deserves 5 stars. I mainly see him for running-related problems, but he’s also helped with my occasional back pain. He really knows what he’s talking about and is an expert in Active Release Therapy (ART). I highly recommend him. My insurance doesn’t cover chiropractic care, but $45 per visit isn’t bad, especially since I can really see the results.
All of the doctors here are very knowledgeable and have a genuine interest in your well being. The staff is very friendly and fun. I actually look forward to going to this office. Dr. Parker is phenomenal! I felt full relief from headaches and back pain after just three visits. Dr. P also teaches his patients how to lead healthier lifestyles and gives them exercises to do at home to strengthen their bodies and heal faster. What an amazing group of professionals!
This review is about two years over due…..I would give this place ten stars if I could….. I had two herniated discs in my back to the point where I was walking crooked and was in debilitating pain. I was nearly ready to go in for back surgery when I found this place on the Internet. I was skeptical at first about the spinal decompression, however I was willing to try anything to avoid back surgery, yet I needed to get rid of the pain. My spinal decompression was a success and it has been for almost two years now. I have bad days and good ones with my back, however the good far outweigh the bad and the decompression treatment was money well spent. If it were not for this place, I would have had to resulted to a surgery and I always hear the horror stories about the outcome. I would defiantly suggest trying the decompression if you have back pain, as it certainly worked for me without any issues for almost two years now.
Dr. Twombly is by far the best Chiropractor Ive ever seen Other chiropractors Ive seen in the past were always pushy about getting you in at least every other day, etc…. this has never been the case with Dr. Twombly. He provides the services that you need and that’s all.
After a 20+mph collision on the K1 tracks a week ago, I figured I was good enough to get back into the gym. Nearing the tail of my workout, I felt a sharp pain in my neck and I immediately knew something was wrong. Sure enough, 30 minutes later I couldn’t turn my head in any direction without feeling sharp excruciating pain. When I woke up in the morning and couldn’t get out of bed without assistance I knew I needed help.
Having never been to a chiropractor before, I didn’t really know what to expect. I walked into the office as a walk-in and one of the docs came out and brought me into his office without a second thought. Turns out he wasn’t even on duty that day, just working on some paperwork, but he took the time to listen to my problem. He then phoned in Dr. Parker who came into the office 10 minutes later.
Dr. Parker took his time listening to my symptoms and was always up for small talk, he didn’t rush anything and after my first session I was able to turn my neck left and right without pain.
I went back the next day for a 2nd session and he did some more new adjustments to my neck and back. This was followed by a deep tissue massage (quite painful but worth it). I figured I would go pay at the cashiers after the massage but Dr. Parker called me back into his office. Earlier I had told him that being a post-college graduate I couldn’t afford any more sessions with him. He wanted me to come back in on Friday, with this session on the house. I was very surprised and immediately knew then that the most important focus of this chiropractic office was your treatment. Something I think we all want to find in any doctors we seek, but seldom find.
I just came back from his complementary session and I have full range of motion on my neck again.

I bought a yelp voucher for my mother to use at this location. She loved the service, location, and staff. She had intense back pain and immediately after the service she felt significantly better. a few days later, her pain has greatly diminished. She has another visit in a few days which she is excited to attend. Thank you!
I had what felt like a pinched nerve. After two days of laying in bed, ibuprofen and applying heat there was no improvement. I read the reviews and decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did! Using the Yelp coupon I received an adjustment and a deep tissue massage for $50, well worth the money. I felt so much better after and the pain was almost completely gone. Plus all the staff and doctors are very nice.
Back in February, I had intense migraines to the point where I could not deal with any noise and light for over a week and a half. Went to my family doctor which prescribed me Imitrex, but it immobilized me and I did not want to keep taking it. So I decided to try going to a chiropractor. Looked on Yelp to find a chiropractor near by and found Dr. Twombly. Not only did he help me get rid of them he provided me his knowledge on migraines I was very impressed. Dr. Twombly and the team did wonders on my migraines and I can say that I have been migraine free since! Most definitely will be a patient for life and have already suggested them to family,friends and coworkers. Keep up the fantastic work!
I met Dr. Timothy Twombly today for the first time and let me tell you, this doc knows his stuff. One of the most elite and well versed in spinal and overall healthcare. Couldn’t have gone better!
